Military:   Private Albert Edward Stredder served in World War I in the Prince of Wales Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment) 2nd Battalion in Poelcapelle, Belgium and was killed in action 2nd August 1917.  He was awarded the Victory Medal and War medal.
